Three concerts in nine days – and all quite different.

15/04/2014 20:00
On Sunday, 23 March, we were at The Bridgwater Hall again to take part in the Grand Organ Gala. We sang four pieces, three of which we knew fairly well (Zadok, Hallelujah Chorus and Pomp and Circumstance No1) and one that needed some extra rehearsal time (the Lacrimosa from Mozart’s Requiem)....

The Manchester Chorale on the road

05/06/2019 17:32
The end of May saw the Manchester Chorale going further afield than we usually do. As the guests of the Kent Chamber Choir, we spent a long weekend in Kent, the highlight being a joint concert on the Saturday night in Meopham. We also had a tour of historic Rochester and dinner with our hosts on...

28/02/2017 14:08

The Chorale’s trip to Belgium was an unqualified success. The weather was fine, the food was good, the singing was excellent and the beer was Belgian. Four days of heaven! Our host choir Koor Acantus and the Chorale’s chairman John Eaden had made sure that not a minute was wasted during the trip....

The Armed Man - an audience member comments

06/11/2013 12:35
Dear Manchester Chorale Not an enquiry, but just a brief email to say how wonderfully you sang at today's Bridgwater Hall concert. The sound was perfectly balanced, but given the size of the choir I was surprised and pleased to be able to pick out all the underpinning harmonies, not just the...
