£820 raised for Dr Kershaw's Hopsice
The Chorale concert in St Edward's Church, Lees, Oldham was much appreciated by a good-sized audience. The concert was dedicated to the loving memory of Steven Bradshaw (1951 - 2013), whose final days were spent in the care of Dr Kershaw's Hospice. Shortly after the concert we received the following letter from the Bradshaw family.
" Dear Jill and Chorale members,
We would like to take this opportuntiy on behalf of the Bradshaw family to express our sincere thanks and hearfelt appreciation of all the hard work and effort you all put in to making Saturday's concert at St Edward's, Lees, such a resounding success.
By the end of the concert, our sister-in-law Vanessa was completely overwhelmed and through her tears said "Had Steve been here tonight, he would have been in awe of every person who had contributed in any way to creating such a memorable experience."
It was the first time that Vanessa and some of our other family members had been to a Chorale concert. They were totally "blown away", not only by the talent, energy, precision and quality of sound produced by the choir but also by the organisational skills that enabled the evening to run so smoothly. There was nothing but praise for you all!
Ticket sales of more than £500 and a generous donation from Father Dolan brought the total raised to over £750 for Dr Kershaw's Hospice.
We cannot thank you enough!
Kind Regards
David and Sharon Bradshaw"
