The Christmas Story
St Clement's Church, Chorlton, M21 9JF.
Saturday, 9th December 2017 at 7:30 pm.
The Manchester Chorale will be presenting The Christmas Story, a charity Christmas concert in music and words for all the family.
Short readings by choir members – poems, story extracts, anecdotes – will introduce the music. Some will be serious, some light-hearted and humorous that capture the spirit of Christmas and set the scene for the music to follow.
We will be singing sacred and secular Christmas songs – old and new, traditional and contemporary, familiar and unfamiliar – including music by Miskinis (glorious harmonies), Rutter (Shepherd’s Pipe Carol), Gardner (the delightful Tomorrow Shall be My Dancing Day and Pearsall (In Dulci Jubilo).
The Manchester Chorale is a registered charity and we regularly help other charities gather funds to further their good works. We are delighted to support Barnabus in their work for the homeless of Manchester and thank St Clement’s Church in enabling this.
